The Evolution of My Flower Stand

In the early days, my flower stand was literally a table in my front garden, carefully arranged with a handful of seasonal blooms. It was only meant to be a temporary measure - a way to sell flowers while I still had a preschooler and toddler at home. I quickly learned that flowers are delicate, that customers love choice, and that presentation really matters. Some days the table was overflowing, other days barely a stem - but every bouquet had care and attention behind it.

Over time, the stand evolved. I added a proper roof and sides to protect the flowers from the worst of the elements, giving them a little shelter while still keeping the stand accessible. I’ve always used eco-friendly packaging, wrapping bouquets in paper and tying them with twine so that every bloom is presented beautifully and sustainably.

What started as a temporary setup has now developed a loyal local following, with lots of weekly customers (thank you!) who stop by for seasonal blooms, bouquets, and a little slice of farm magic.

Seasonal Offerings & What to Expect

At the flower stand, I focus on seasonal blooms, grown right here on the farm. The stand opens for Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, before opening every week from the beginning of April through to November. Depending on the time of year, you might find:

  • Spring: Tulips, daffodils, and ranunculus

  • Late spring to early summer: Peonies

  • Summer: Snapdragons, zinnias, cosmos, and a wide variety of other beautiful seasonal flowers

  • Autumn: Dahlias, fancy heirloom chrysanthemums, and ornamental pumpkins and gourds

All bouquets are beautifully wrapped in eco-friendly paper and tied with twine, so that everything can be composted or recycled.
