I'm Alicia, the grower and florist behind Cicely Flowers. I run the business entirely on my own, juggling life as a mum of two with the wonderfully unpredictable world of growing flowers.

Cicely Flowers began in 2022 with a small patch of flowers in my front garden in Bradford on Avon. What started as a little growing project has blossomed into a one-woman flower business, dedicated to growing beautiful, seasonal British flowers.

Every flower is grown by me on my little flower plot, just down the road from home. I sow the seeds, tend the plants, harvest each stem by hand and bring everything back to my kitchen, where I create colourful, abundant bouquets full of character and charm.

I grow using organic, no-dig methods, caring for the soil and encouraging wildlife along the way. Sustainability is an important part of how I work, from the way I grow my flowers to wrapping each bouquet in recyclable and compostable materials.

My flowers are grown outdoors, following the natural rhythm of the seasons. From the first delicate spring blooms to the last chrysanthemums of autumn, the varieties, colours and textures are constantly changing. I grow everything from fluffy peonies and romantic dahlias to sweet peas, snapdragons, cosmos and an abundance of smaller, delicate flowers.

I love that seasonal flowers are never quite the same from one week to the next. Each bouquet is a little snapshot of what's flowering on the plot, full of the colours, textures and character of that particular moment in the growing season.

My bouquets have a distinctive style. Rather than filling them with traditional greenery and foliage, I prefer to let the flowers do the talking. I grow plenty of smaller, whimsical blooms to complement the larger flowers, creating arrangements that are wonderfully flowery, romantic and a little bit wild.

By growing my flowers right here in Bradford on Avon, I can offer something wonderfully local - freshly harvested flowers that haven't travelled hundreds of miles to reach your vase.

Everything is grown with care, gathered by hand and arranged by me, bringing a little piece of the flower plot into your home.
