Your Locally Grown Wedding Flowers: A Guide for Couples in Bradford on Avon, Bath & Wiltshire
Planning your wedding flowers should feel inspiring, joyful, and simple - not overwhelming. If you're getting married in Bradford on Avon, Bath, or anywhere across Wiltshire, and you’re dreaming of locally grown, seasonal, and sustainable wedding flowers, you’re in exactly the right place.
About Me and Your Flowers
I grow all of your wedding flowers on a 250 m² plot in Bradford on Avon, using organic methods and caring for nature along the way. Every stem is nurtured with attention and chosen for its beauty and seasonal character. Being hands-on from seed to bloom means I can provide flowers full of personality, fragrance, and charm - something you just don’t get with imported blooms.
I love working with couples to create arrangements that feel natural, romantic, and perfectly suited to their day, whether that’s DIY wedding flowers or pre-made bouquets and wearable flowers.
Your Wedding Flower Options
Couples usually choose from one of three flexible approaches:
1. DIY Wedding Flower Buckets
Perfect if you want to create your own table flowers, bud vases, or venue arrangements. Each bucket contains a beautiful blend of seasonal flowers and textural foliage.
2. Pre-Made Bouquets & Wearable Flowers
These include bridal and bridesmaid bouquets, buttonholes, corsages, and flower crowns. Everything comes arranged in fresh water, ready to use. Please note: I don’t create large ceremony or venue arrangements.
3. A Combination of Both
Many couples choose DIY for their tables and order professionally made bouquets for the bridal party.
Natural, Seasonal Flowers — Grown Just for Your Day
Your flowers will always be a “grower’s choice” selection of the best seasonal blooms, gathered at their peak. If you have a preferred colour palette, let me know early - for weddings booked well in advance, I can often grow especially for your date.
I love to receive inspiration images - they help me understand your vision and style. While I can’t guarantee exact matches, I’ll use the freshest, most beautiful seasonal blooms to create bouquets and arrangements that capture the essence and feel of your inspiration.
If an exact flower type is essential for your wedding, the only way to guarantee it is to use imported stems - and in that case, I’m not the right florist for you.
Booking and Deposits
There’s no minimum order, so you can choose me as your florist whatever the size of your wedding. I understand weddings come in all shapes and sizes - from intimate gatherings to large celebrations.
A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your wedding date, and the remaining balance is due closer to your big day.
How Many Flowers Will You Need?
Every wedding is unique, and the number of flowers you’ll need depends on the style of your arrangements, the season, and which blooms are available. I’m always happy to guide you on how many flowers to order - inspiration images are especially helpful, as they let me understand the look and feel you’re hoping for.
For example:
In spring, a single fluffy ranunculus can look stunning in a bud vase.
In summer, 3–5 delicate stems can create a beautiful, airy effect in the same vase.
Whether you’re planning DIY buckets, bouquets, or smaller table arrangements, I’ll help you estimate the perfect number of flowers so your arrangements feel full, romantic, and seasonal - without overwhelming your space or your budget.
What Happens When You Book
Here’s how the booking process works:
Get in touch with what you’re considering - bouquets, buckets, or both.
I’ll send a personalised quote.
Secure your date with a 50% deposit.
You have the option to buy a discounted practice bucket to test your arrangements ahead of time.
Two weeks before your wedding, we’ll confirm your final order, collection time, and remaining balance.
I keep the process simple, friendly, and flexible - I’m here to help throughout.
Looking After DIY Buckets at Home
Once you get home:
Keep flowers in a cool, shaded place, have plenty of clean containers ready and use sharp snips (not kitchen scissors)
Worried about storing flowers in a small space or dealing with a heatwave? Don’t worry - I can give you plenty of tips and guidance to keep your blooms cool, fresh, and beautiful, no matter the conditions.
Arrange your flowers the day before the wedding, not the morning of. For example, if your wedding is on a Saturday, collecting Friday morning (or Thursday evening for larger DIY plans) works perfectly.
Give yourself more time than you think you’ll need - arranging is slower than expected but incredibly enjoyable
Caring for Pre-Made Bouquets
Your bouquets will arrive in water, protected in paper wrappers and clearly labelled. At home:
Place them in fresh, clean water
Keep cool and out of sunlight
Top up water regularly, especially in warm weather
They will hold beautifully for your ceremony with just these simple steps.
